    Lately I’ve been looking around for healthy, easy-to-fix recipes for my family so that we can stay away from high-calorie, high-carb fast food.

    In addition to being kinder to my wallet and better for my health, they also had be simple, quick and, most importantly, they had to be recipes my children would actually eat!

    Our greatest success has come from baked chicken recipes.

    Here are the reasons that baked chicken recipes tick all the boxes:

    1. Baked children recipes are good for you

    Chicken is low in cholesterol, and poultry is high in protein. It’s the baking, rather than frying, that makes chicken such a nutritious choice.

    Eating baked chicken dishes has been an excellent first step for my family to start eating a balanced diet. This is becuase it goes so well with a large varierty of fresh foods, making it easier to incorporate vegetables into our meals.

    2. Baked chicken recipes are quick and easy.

    The last things anyone wants to do after a long day at work is to spend hours in the kitchen. Many of the baked chicken recipes we found are ‘one pot’ recipes that take little preparation and cook themselves.

    This allows you to be lazy and efficient at the same time!

    Our youngest daughter is especially picky about what she eats, which is something we have to take into consideration when we prepare meals. Of course, we don’t want to make different meals for her unless we absolutely have to.

    It’s not only the ‘one pot’ cooking approach that helps but it’s easy to find chicken already prepared when buying it, so there’s no need to spend time dicing or slicing, it’s already done for you.

    Even an inexperienced cook like me can follow the recipes with ease and produce impressive results.

    5. Baked chicken dishes are inexpensive.

    Our family is on a tight budget these days, so it’s necessary to keep our grocery bills as low as we can.

    Chicken is one of the less expensive meats available. Fresh seasonable vegetables are also cheaper than paying for tiny microwave meals that don’t fill you up.

    6. Baked chicken recipes even please picky eaters.

    Even our faddy children enjoy these recipes and can actually get involved in cooking them as they are so easy. They’d eat baked chicken every night if we let them.

    I would never have believed that the whole family could eat the same meal (that isn’t take-away) and everyone enjoy it.
