Food to the Rescue Cookbook: Area Food Lovers Donate Recipes to Help Feed Hungry

    By Paul | October 22, 2008

Food Rescue of Northwest Michigan is an exciting new initiative in the Grand Traverse area. The mission of Food Rescue of Northwest Michigan is the collection and re-distribution of soon-to-expire fresh foods from available sources (e.g. grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, bakeries, etc.) to people in need through the area’s food pantries, shelters and community meals programs.

Our new “Food to the Rescue Cookbook” will help fund the program and put more food on the tables of hungry Northwest Michigan families.

The Cookbook is a collection of recipes contributed by: The People; Local Celebrities; and Local Chefs.

Feed a Hungry Family for less than a fast food meal for two.

This Is Where You Can Help!

You are invited to submit a recipe that you enjoy at home with family and friends. A salad, soup, entrée, appetizer or dessert – something the less experienced cook would get great pleasure in preparing. An anecdotal story along with the recipe would be a plus.

Your participation will contribute immensely to the success of our Cookbook. To share a recipe or reserve a copy http://foodtotherescuecookbook.com/.
