My Tips For Grilled Chicken
By myarticlenetwork | November 8, 2009
The way to a man’s heart is throgh his stomach’ is a old famous adage which holds true to this day. The old adage ‘the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’ is so true. My husband was hooked after I wowed him with my masterful kitchen skills. I secretly believe that one of the reasons why he married me (apart from various other impressive traits about me!) could be the fact that I was a good cook and he is a true foodie. It is not just that, he has a number of loyal friends and each and every one of them happens to be real food lovers, and some times it becomes a horrendous task for me appeasing all of them if they happen to drop in for breakfast or lunch during the weekends. I’magine, if you will, people who stop by for breakfast unannounced and then have the gaul to hang around for lunch as well. It so happened that once one of his friends happened to visit us on official duty from a distant city. As promised to my husband, he chose to stay with us instead of staying in the companys guest house. During his stay we happened to go out for dinner on two or three occasions. This man would request a chicken dish every time we went out to dinner. Once it was a chicken rice recipe, which would catch his fancy. Next it would be chicken dipped in this and chicken dipped in that, etc. As a vegetarian I am somewhat unfamiliar with the names of meat and poultry dishe’s, but I believe one is plain chicken curry. Once he even went to the extent of barging into the hotel kitchen and giving tips to the cooking staff on fried chicken recipe and grilled chicken recipe! I am surprised that the hotel management did not seem to mind all this. I could not contain my curiosity and asked him as to how he managed to remain so slim and trim in spite of hogging chicken dishe’s all the time. He casually answered that he never thought that chicken dishe’s could make someone fat. His contention was that chicken was a wonderful food value and should be enjoyed periodically. The secret lay in choosing your food sensibly and not simply eating without a thought. When you have chicken, cut down on other items and balance your calories.
